ELECTION: Bouchard holds town halls in Oakland, Macomb

    Oakland County Sheriff Mike Bouchard, one of five Republicans seeking the GOP nomination for governor in the Aug. 3 primary, holds town hall meetings in Oakland and Macomb counties Saturday to discuss his “Blueprint for Prosperity.”

    Bouchard will be at the Clinton Macomb Library North Branch, 16800 24 Mile Road in Macomb from 11 a.m. to noon.
    He will be at the Baldwin Public Library, 300 West Merrill Street in Birmingham from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
    Also seeking the Republican nomination for governor are Ann Arbor businessman Rick Snyder, U.S. Rep. Pete Hoekstra, Michigan Attorney General Mike Cox and state Sen. Tom George.
Democrats seeking their party’s nomination are Lansing Mayor Virg Bernero and state House Speaker Andy Dillon.
    Dillon was at Lawrence Technological University in Southfield Friday morning to unveil his vision for the state’s future as part of his “Renewing The Michigan Dream” road tour.
