Michigan Truth Squad reviews accuracy of campaign ads

The Michigan Truth Squad is asking people to contact them this election cycle if they see or hear political advertising with content they consider to be exaggerated or inaccurate. They'll even reward tipsters with prizes.

The Truth Squad is looking at advertising in campaigns for Michigan governor, attorney general, secretary of state, state House and state Senate.

So far, the Michigan Truth Squad has reviewed advertising by Republican candidates for governor Mike Bouchard, Mike Cox and Rick Snyder, and Democrat Virg Bernero, plus Republican candidate for attorney general Bill Schuette.
