Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum will make more stops across Michigan in the run-up to Michigan's presidential primary Tuesday. Their campaign supporters have also scheduled more events.
Romney, the former Massachusetts governor and Michigan native, starts Monday with an 8:45 a.m. rally in Rockford at the Byrne Electrical Specialists, 725 Byrne Industrial Drive.
At 1:05 p.m. he'll be in Albion for a rally at Caster Concepts, 16000 E. Michigan Avenue for a second rally.
And he'll finish up Monday in Royal Oak at a 6:45 p.m. rally at the Royal Oak Music Theatre, 3185 West 4th Street, where the campaign is also promising a "special musical guest."
Meanwhile, Romney's wife, Ann, planned two Sunday events.
She was headed to the Midland County Republican luncheon at 11:30 a.m. at The H Hotel, 111 West Main Street in Midland, followed by a 2:45 p.m. meet and greet at Hunter's Grille at Treetops Resort, 3962 Wilkinson Road in Gaylord.
Santorum, the former Pennsylvania senator, scheduled appearances across Michigan Sunday and Monday.
Sunday he planned a noon rally in Marquette at the Holiday Inn, 1951 U.S. Highway 41 West, a 3:30 p.m. rally in Traverse City at 2010 Streeters Center, 1669 South Garfield Avenue, and an 8 p.m. rally in Davison at The Colonial Valley Suites Crystal Hall, 10183 Lapeer Road.
On Monday, Santorum plans to address the Farmington Chamber of Commerce breakfast at 9 a.m. at St. Mary's Cultural and Banquet Center, 18100 Merriman in Livonia followed by a 3 p.m. rally in Lansing at the Lexington Lansing Hotel, 925 South Creyts Road, and a 7:30 p.m. rally in Kalamazoo at Heritage Christian Academy, 6212 Quail Run Drive.
Campaigning on behalf of Santorum, the Susan B. Anthony Bus Tour planned stops Sunday at 10 a.m. in Southfield at Bauervic Woods Park at the corner of Nine Mile and Evergreen Roads, a 1 p.m. stop in Lake Orion at Culvers Restaurant and Cafe, 4963 S. Lapeer Road, and a 4 p.m. stop in Flint at Applebee's, G-3129 Miller Road.
Primaries in Michigan and Arizona are Tuesday.
Both Santorum and Romney are campaigning hard in Michigan. Santorum has held a slight lead in polls in recent weeks until polls this weekend showed Romney pulling ahead in what is essentially a four-person primary that also includes Texas U.S. Rep. Ron Paul and former U.S. House Speaker Newt Gingrich.
Paul plans rallies in Mount Pleasant, East Lansing and Dearborn leading up to the election. Gingrich has been campaigning out of state.
