Human Trafficking: 'The Slave Across The Street'

  Lawmakers in Michigan are beginning to zero in on the problem of human trafficking, which they say is the equivalent of modern-day slavery.

  In part, their awareness has grown because of books like, "The Slave Across The Street," written by Theresa Flores, who endured trafficking for two years in a Detroit suburb even as she went to school with her traffickers and lived with her unknowing family.
